Vapor Barrier Protection

Felt550® is used to protect the crawl space vapor barrier from taking on damage from crawling during pre and post crawl space encapsulation installation traffic. This super tough fabric, will not grow mold or mildew and is odor free. 

Soil Gas Mitigation

The Felt550® is used to assist in mitigating soil gasses like Radon, Methane and Ammonia, by maintaining a break between the vapor barrier and the ground allowing the evacuation of the soil gasses out of the home.

Water Disbursement 

The Felt550® also helps to disperse and standing water under the vapor barrier that may have pooled up during a rain. It does this by absorbing the water and dispersing it over a larger area so that it can be absorbed by the earth.
